Verses & Vignettes @ Westchester collaborative Theater

"Verses and Vignettes" is an engaging evening of storytelling and spoken word interwoven with improv theater. The event combines scripted and unscripted moments to create a dynamic and unpredictable experience. The night will feature Sarah Bracey White in a risque soliloquy about the conflicts promises cause, 3-4 spoken word poems and eight improvised scenes. The event is produced by WCT writer/actor members Jessica W. Bonds and Misha T. Sinclair, who recently co-authored Gladys Day with Bonds in the title role. The cabaret-style performance begins at 7:30 pm at WCT’s black box performance space, 23 Water Street in Ossining. The house will open at 7:00pm. Tickets are $10; cash bar and refreshments will be available.

"Sisters in Conflict" - a one act play

About the play: My latest play, Sisters in Conflict, has been selected for Westchester Collaborative Theater's Spring Play in the Box, Part II. Set in 1951 Philadelphia, Sisters in Conflict gives an inside view of the lives of two African American sisters who clash over differing responses to racial segregation and who is better able to raise the child they both love. Years later, the aftereffects of that conflict on that child incites a reckoning.
